Reason to buy an iPhone 8 even in 2021 and its Accessories

Best Case Ever

Apple iPhone 8 was released in like 4 years ago in 2017. We do not even remember what happened in 2017 by now. iPhone 8 was kind of a revolutionary device. It marked the beginning of a new era of Apple iPhones. iPhone 8 has evolved since its release, but not on its appearance but on its performance. So, this article will be an explanation about why iPhone 8 (and 8 plus of course) is still worth your money even after 4 years.

First of all, you should know that Apple iPhone 8 Plus is discontinued and will not get any updates or whatever. The major difference between iPhone 8 and 8 Plus is the screen size, resolution, and the battery. iPhone 8 Plus surpasses the iPhone 8 in those three categories.

The physical appearance of the phone looks quite different from what we see nowadays. It has a considerable bezel and a home button. It feels really great in the hand because of its perfect size, and it is made from Aluminum and Glass (back). It was released in three different colors: Space Gray, Silver and Gold.

iPhone 8 is equipped with a Retina IPS LCD panel which is still a quiet decent panel when considering the price. Like most of the phones it has front mounted fingerprint sensor which can be really helpful in this pandemic situation because the Face ID does not work with masks. Another cool fact about this iPhone is that it has 4K 60FPS recording capability — even the selfie camera is able to record 1080p videos at 60FPS. All the other iPhones that released after this is still limited to the same recording options. I do not have to tell you guys that the cameras in Apple’s smartphones are really magnificent. Even though this has a single camera set up, it is still overwhelmingly effective. As a disadvantage, you will not have Portrait or Night Modes in your camera system. Also, there is no way for you to capture ultra-wide or telephoto images using this.

On the software side, it is really up to date. Apple even gave access to their iOS 14.3 to their iPhone 8 users whom first experienced iOS 11 with their mobile. I mean, it is not a perfect, 100% glitch free version but it is a huge improvement from the start. I also think that this will get software updates for couple more years, could be even more.

When it comes to the performances, I would say that this is pretty capable at fulfilling your expectations. This thing is powered with Apple’s A11 bionic chip which was a huge deal when it was release but is actually nothing when compared with the latest M1 chip. Wait, do not get disappointed because of what I just told. This A11 chip is pretty good at handling things because we all know Apple software are quite well optimized to work with their hardware. The 2GB of RAM will not be a problem too because it is just enough to get the job done just like the chipset, but I am suggesting you stop running too many apps at once if you ever get the chance to use this phone. Overall, it is obviously not the fastest smartphone in the market, but it is fast enough to the paid price. The battery life of the iPhone 8 not something quite impressive. Actually, it will be enough for a day if you know how to manage it well. Otherwise, you will have to keep a charger always at your sight. Furthermore, this is IP certified water resistant and supports wireless charging.

Conclusion: Even though Apple iPhone 8 cannot compete with modern smartphones, it still holds a higher rank in the best smartphones that came out in 2017. You should definitely give this a shot if you do not have a problem with buying a used device. In the other hand, if you can afford a successor of iPhone 8, you should not be thinking about this. All I’m saying that iPhone 8 is a great choice if it fits your budget.

Accessories for iPhone 8

This part is for those who already has an iPhone 8 or for those who are definitely going to buy one. Here are some most popular and highly recommended accessories that should be used if you are having an iPhone 8.

2- Pack Miaday 10000mAh dual USB portable charger

This is a MUST have item for all the iPhone 8 users. You can use this portable charger to charge your iPhone 8 fully more than three times. It will take about 5 hrs to fully charge the power bank using a standard 10W charger. Since it is a 2-pack charger you can share one with a friend when in an extreme situation. This will work with lots of smartphones other than iPhone 8 if you have got the right cable.

Yootech Wireless Charger

Why not use a wireless charger when your phone supports wireless charging? If your iPhone 8 is updated to the latest iOS version, then this can be used to charge your phone wirelessly with a 7.5W power. This even works fine with AirPods or AirPods Pro so that could be an extra advantage for you. You should have a quality charging adapter if you are willing to use this (because it is not included in the package). There is a LED system to indicate the charging process. You don’t have to worry about that because it turns off in less than 20 seconds after charging begins so it will not interrupt your sleep when you are using one of these in your bedrooms.

OtterBox Commuter Series Case

Drops and falls are inevitable for smartphones. So it is better to be prepared rather than grieving after a disaster. This OtterBox Commuter Series case is more than capable at protecting your phone from unexpected drops and falls. It comes in several designs and is made from Silicone, Artificial Rubber and PC. They have even included port covers in order to prevent dust from going into charging ports and other open areas except speakers. This does not come with a screen protector, but it has a good, raised edges that can protect the display even when it is facing down. The case is not bulky at all and is quite light and thin. You should pay attention to its little slipperiness because the rubber frame around the case does not provide a good grip at all. Overall, it is a quite great protective case.
